## Frequently asked

**Should I choose operated or bare (dry) rental?**

It depends: in operated rental, the lessor's operator runs the machine and most of the safety and operator-error risk stays with the lessor; in bare (dry) rental, your own operator runs it, the unit price is lower, but the responsibility shifts to you. The Akitle template has separate fields for both scenarios; the relevant clauses open automatically when you select one.

**Who is responsible for the operator's SGK premium and insurance?**

In operated rental, the operator's payroll and SGK (social-security) premium are usually the lessor's responsibility, and machine insurance and comprehensive cover sit with the supplier — the Akitle template makes this explicit with default fields. In bare rental, the operator is your own employee, so the SGK obligation is yours.

**How is damage assessed if the machine breaks down?**

The handover and return record captures the machine's working hours and condition with photos; the hour-meter reading and a description at the time of breakdown are noted in the contract. The monthly breakdown-allowance clause in the Akitle template pre-defines which situations count as the lessor's responsibility.

**Is hourly or daily pricing better?**

For short or variable use (e.g. a few hours of excavation), an hourly unit price fits best; for longer site rentals, a daily or monthly unit price works better. The Akitle template lets you choose the unit (hour/day/week/month); the duration × unit price total is calculated automatically.

**Who pays the machine's transport / haulage cost?**

It is set in the contract; in practice, delivery to the site and collection is most often charged to the renter, but the parties are free to agree otherwise. The Akitle template has a dedicated field for transport responsibility, so it is never left blank.

**Is the contract legally valid?**

An Akitle signature is an auditable beginning of proof under HMK art. 202, backed by IP, device info, KVKK consent, and an RFC 3161 timestamp. It is not conclusive evidence on its own but carries evidentiary value alongside the strong audit trail.
