Digital Contract
What is a digital contract?
A digital contract is an agreement the parties prepare, share, and sign electronically — with identity details and consent captured online — instead of printing and signing on paper. Under Turkish law, the parties' mutual consent forms the contract (TBK art. 1); written form is not a validity requirement for most contract types. The signature Akitle produces is NOT a qualified (secure) electronic signature under Turkey's Electronic Signature Law No. 5070 — but it creates a binding contract between the parties and constitutes a 'document' under Code of Civil Procedure (HMK) art. 199 and 'beginning of written evidence' under HMK art. 202, backed by an IP address, device information, and an RFC 3161 timestamp.

How Akitle works
1. Create a template
Start from a ready-made rental contract template, or upload your own document and define fillable fields in the visual editor.
2. Share a link
Send the contract via WhatsApp, email, or SMS — no account creation or app download required on the other side.
3. Sign on screen
The other party opens the link on their phone, fills in their part, and signs by drawing or typing; both parties receive the audit-trailed PDF instantly.
Your static example vs. signing with Akitle
Download a static example
- You download a blank Word/PDF file and fill it in by hand
- You must print it and gather the parties for wet-ink signing
- No record of who signed, or when
Sign via link with Akitle
- You fill in a ready template online
- You send a link; the renter approves from their own phone
- Both parties download a PDF with an audit trail
Akitle produces a binding document with an audit trail; it is not a qualified electronic signature under Law No. 5070.
Frequently asked
- Is the Akitle signature a qualified electronic signature under Law 5070?
- No. Akitle produces a binding document and an audit trail between the parties, but it is not a qualified (secure) electronic signature under Turkey's Electronic Signature Law No. 5070. It does not substitute for a wet-ink or qualified e-signature in official procedures that require one (e.g. certain notarial acts).
- Can a digital contract be used as evidence in court?
- Yes. A contract signed via Akitle constitutes a 'document' under Code of Civil Procedure (HMK) art. 199 and 'beginning of written evidence' under HMK art. 202, backed by IP address, device information, KVKK consent, and an RFC 3161 timestamp. It is not conclusive evidence on its own (a 'deed' under HMK art. 205), but it carries evidentiary value alongside the strong audit trail.
- How is my personal data (KVKK) protected?
- The identity, contact, and signature data of the signing party is processed only to form the contract and maintain the audit trail; a KVKK disclosure notice is shown to the other party in every signing flow and their explicit consent is obtained.
- What types of contracts can be signed digitally?
- Akitle supports more than 12 rental-contract types — vehicles, heavy equipment, real estate, shops, offices, warehouses, event venues, and equipment — plus general service agreements. You can also upload your own template and use the same signing flow for any contract type.
- Is a wet-ink signature still required?
- No, not for general rental and service contracts — an Akitle signature is binding between the parties. However, documents requiring notarization, such as an eviction undertaking, or official procedures requiring a qualified e-signature, still need a wet-ink or notarized / qualified e-signature separately.
- How does the renter sign an online rental agreement?
- The landlord sends an unguessable share link. The renter opens it on their phone or computer, fills in their part, and signs by drawing or typing. No account, email, or app download is required; once signed, both parties receive the PDF copy by email.
